There are them from very small to cool off after the sauna, to municipal ones of a thousand meters and larger.

These larvae are going to be preyed upon by their natural enemies such as dragonflies, frogs or fish and in a very short time.

It is advisable not to have fish, although they could be put to speed up the initial process. The frogs, if they come, come alone and stay in the regeneration area and around the pond, not in the bathing area.

It is filled once and you only have to fill the water that evaporates. Especially in summer and on hot days. With strong wind and depending on the size, the evaporation can reach up to 4cm.

The water is regenerated with the plants in the regeneration zone. Depending on the type of natural pool, a pump is used that absorbs the water from the bathing area, the plants purify it and return it to the bathing area with circulation through small streams for example.

The plants endure winter without any problem. In autumn they lose their leaves or remain dry and in spring they bloom and sprout again. Really the most beautiful time is spring.

At first, the water may turn green due to the algae that, once regulated, the water remains transparent. Although lately we are not having any pools that go through this process. By oversizing our pools with plants, these act from the first moment leaving the water ready for your bath from the first day.
In summer, on hot days, you have to fill the pool so that the plants at the edges continue to receive their water supply.

In autumn it is necessary to collect the dry leaves that fall into the water. For this you can buy a special net for natural pools, although aesthetically it breaks our vision a bit. In winter there is the problem of freezing and snowfall. This problem can be tackled with a small icebreaker.
